I cannot stress enough what an incredible job Chris Murphy with Stability has done… I’ve worked with plenty of structural engineers in my day, but I’d be willing to fight anybody that says there’s a better one than this guy. I’m deleting all the other structural engineers from my contacts list.
Our architecture firm works frequently with Stability Engineering and we enjoy them being our consultant very much. They have great attention to detail and make such neat and eloquent drawings. Favorite structural engineering firm to work with!
Stability is our go to firm for solving structural engineering challenges. They are great at coming up with efficient solutions, particularly when dealing with old and interesting structures.
We work with Stability for most of our projects. Chris has worked with us on several challenging projects and has demonstrated his ability to adjust to various conditions to generate a solution.
Chris is dependable and works diligently for engineering solutions in the building process.

Merit Award from the Structural Engineers Association of Georgia (SEAOG)
Congratulations to Chris Murphy, Allen Morris, and Pierre Coiron of Stability Engineering for receiving a Merit Award from the Structural Engineers Association of Georgia (SEAOG) in mid-April for work on the Historic Barn at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit (Conyers, Georgia). We provided structural design services, performed extensive non-destructive testing and analysis of the wood framing, and designed a custom steel frame to stabilize the barn structure. We also provided direction for securing the existing brick veneer and replacing the floor slab on grade. These methods allowed us to maintain the majority of the original wood structure, updating the historic barn while maintaining its antique charm and historic value. The purpose of the Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards is to recognize structural engineers in the state of Georgia who demonstrate a high caliber of creativity, dedication, innovation, and ingenuity in the work they perform. The architect for this project was Cooper Pierce from Jones Pierce Architects and the contractor was Gay Construction. Please join me in congratulating Chris, Allen, and Pierre.
