Panola Greenway Trail

About the Project

This project won Natural Environment Project of the Year – Honorable Mention from the Georgia Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2013.

The Panola Greenway trail is a PATH Foundation project that connects the existing Arabia Mountain trail and South River trail to the Panola Mountain Conservation Park. The trail features a wooden boardwalk spur trail that gives beautiful overlook views of Panola Mountain. Part of the project also featured a loop trail around Alexander Lakes with a large curved wooden boardwalk. This project won the Natural Environment Project of the Year — Honorable Mention (2013) from the American Society of Civil Engineers Georgia Chapter.
