Barksdale Drive

Stability Engineering provided engineering consultation for a new 4000 square foot, two-story single-family residence over full basement. The home is wood-framed with brick veneer, concrete basement walls, and custom spiral staircase. Stability Engineering also provided design and consultation for a rear cantilevered parking pad and bonus room with a large concrete retaining wall to provide usable space on the slope at the rear of the property.

Beverly Road

The design of this single-family residence utilizes the steel and SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) System designed by Stability Engineering as an alternate to total wood framing. The custom, proprietary structural system offers superior structural capacity, open floor plan, and built-in thermal barrier, resulting in lower construction costs and high levels of energy conservation.

New contemporary residence. The most interesting structural aspect of this project was accommodating the owner’s design, which included both interior and exterior exposed concrete walls. Our design consists of 4” exterior and 4” interior concrete, with 4” of rigid foam insulation sandwiched in the middle. Stability provided engineering for this historic home renovation including a 3-car garage addition with master bedroom suite above, featuring a custom vaulted ceiling roofline with a cupola at the peak. The renovation also included rebuilt dormer windows and conversion of the attic into an art studio with large skylights. Design of the garage included a heavy-duty winch system for the extraction of motors. Between the addition and the original home a new deck and screened porch was designed with masonry and wood to match the original home construction.

Interior features include a bowling alley, movie theater, golf simulator, custom double-curved grand entry stair, 14ft main level ceilings, and two-story grand living room. Teton Drive

Stability engineered this two-story modern home with a large, open floor plan, large green roof patio over the garage, and full basement with wine tasting room. The open floor plan was accomplished using 18” open web floor trusses. Steel tube framing and ripped LVL studs were used to brace a 2 story tall wall with large windows on the front of the house, and a custom steel stair support was created for an open, floating staircase. Provided structural engineering for this custom covered rear porch addition. The design included vaulted roof framing with large beams and exposed rafter tails. Foundations were designed for a large double-sided fireplace and concrete walls to support the slab on grade floor with stone tile finish.
