West Paces Contemporary

Stability Engineering provided structural design and consultation for a 10,000 sf modern single-family residence in Atlanta, GA.  Structural design features include two-story steel and engineered lumber floor and roof framing over concrete basement with pedestrian entry bridge and in-ground pool and poolhouse built against site retaining walls.  Design challenges on the project included an open and modern floor plan with custom framing details, double cantilevered roofs and cantilevered floors, cantilevered steel stair with glass landing, a cantilevered glass-walled atrium, and complex site retaining wall configurations.
