For this Second & Hosea development, Stability provided structural engineering and construction administration for the renovation of an existing one-story masonry and wood-framed commercial building and new steel-framed building for three new restaurant spaces. The existing masonry and wood-framed commercial building was extensively modified with new and enlarged window storefront openings, as well as a new steel-framed roof and column-beam arrangement. A partial basement at one end of the building was re-built, and the rotten wood floor framing was replaced with a slab on grade. The new building utilized steel moment frames in order to achieve an open floor plan with extensive glass storefront exterior walls. Site features also include a concrete patio with built-in planter boxes.
