Stability Engineering provided structural design and construction oversight for the renovation and repairs of the previous restaurant space. The existing building was an assemblage of several construction types and eras, including an original barn structure with wood roof framing and a previously built rear addition kitchen and basement with steel framing and structural masonry walls. Structural features of the renovation include re-framing of the collar tie roof system over the main dining and bar spaces and re-supporting the roof framing onto new steel beam spans to create a more open concept floor layout, as well as advanced repairs and improvements to the masonry and steel framing at the kitchen and rear addition to reconfigure the kitchen and bathroom layout and basement stair location.
