Pierre’s thirty years of experience in construction and engineering include municipal and religious facilities, single- and multi-family residential projects, retail buildings, heavy industrial facilities, pulp and paper mills, and manufacturing and power facilities. Beyond field engineering, Pierre oversees the company’s staffing and training, and he manages communication and coordination with clients and contractors. Under Pierre’s management, Stability Engineering has completed over 7,300 projects throughout Georgia, the southeast, and nationwide. Pierre holds Bachelor’s degrees in Construction Engineering and Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Loyola University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. He is also a LEED accredited professional.
Allen began working at Stability Engineering as an intern during college, then as a project engineer in 2006, later becoming project manager, and currently serves as Associate Principal. His design experience includes structural design for both single family and multi-family residential projects, office buildings, restaurants, retail buildings, adaptive reuse projects, art installations, multi-use trail projects, and historic preservation projects. Building material types include steel, wood, masonry construction, and tilt-up, cast-in-place, and post-tension concrete. Allen enjoys working closely with clients to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions to structural design challenges. Allen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mercer University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and South Carolina.
Chris has served as project engineer and project manager on many projects during his career at Stability Engineering. He has experience with wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures, including single and multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, assembly, municipal, hotel & hospitality, adaptive reuse, and historical preservation projects. His previous experience with construction management benefits Stability’s ability to work with contractors and resolve on-site conditions. Chris prides himself on finding creative solutions to engineering problems and working alongside clients to achieve effective building designs. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and he is a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina and Maryland.
James has worked with Stability Engineering since 2012. As a project manager, he has led the design for seven of the buildings in the Downtown Duluth Parsons Ally development, twelve buildings in the Georgia Avenue development, and the recent renovation at Underground Atlanta for the Masquerade venue. His design experience includes residential for both single and multi-family, commercial with both existing modification and new design, adaptive reuse with a concentration in historic brick masonry buildings, historic preservation, and chain restaurants design and review. James works closely with both architects and contractors in the design phase of projects to coordinate the construction feasibility and pricing for the desired design layout. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University (now Kennesaw State University). He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and South Dakota.
Yan supplies extensive knowledge derived from her 20+ years experience in the structural engineering profession. Her expertise in steel and industrial structures provides the company with substantial analytical and design capabilities. Yan also has experience with reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, wood and masonry construction, as well as in-depth seismic assessment of government projects. Yan takes pride in her thorough approach and seeing projects through to completion. Yan holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Structural Engineering from TongJi University.
Josh has served as a project engineer on a mixture of project types in his time at Stability, with experience in large new-construction projects utilizing large-scale modeling, moderate sized single-family new construction and renovation projects, as well as smaller adaptive reuse projects involving steel, wood, masonry, and concrete. Josh takes pride in his dedicated work ethic and is always seeking opportunities to find creative, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Oklahoma.
Justin has served as a project and field engineer since joining the firm in 2014. He has experience in conventional and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, wood, steel, and light gauge design and has worked on a wide variety of projects from large post-tensioned concrete podiums and commercial adaptive reuse to trail bridges and new residential construction. Justin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where he worked with a team researching bridge rehabilitation.
Jacob graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University in December 2015 with his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. In addition to working part-time for the company during his senior year, Jacob was an active member of the school’s ACI and ASCE chapters. Before his start with Stability, he gained experience in the construction/project management field by completing a full-time internship. Through his growing work experience, Jacob has worked through the design of a variety of projects involving wood, steel, masonry, concrete, and post-tensioned slab structures. His dedication to his work and expanding knowledge of structural behavior will continue to help develop efficient and creative design solutions.
Matthew has served as a project and field engineer for Stability Engineering since 2013. During this time, he has gained experience through work on a multitude of projects, including the design of both single and multi-family residential structures, commercial structures, modifications to existing structures, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. He has also participated in the design and development for various multi-use trail segments within the State of Georgia. Matthew graduated Cum Laude in May of 2015 from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts and New Mexico.
Ivana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Mostar, as well as Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering from University of Mostar, graduating summa cum laude with the President’s Distinguished Scholar Award. Before joining Stability Engineering, Ivana worked on many projects that have helped her to learn and grow as an engineer, including work with concrete, wood, masonry, and steel members, as well as non-destructive field testing.
Gary joined Stability Engineering in May 2022, with extensive experience designing a variety of framing in the cold-formed steel industry. Gary has served as a speaker on cold-formed steel for the Structural Engineering Association of Georgia, and is growing from this field into single- and multi-family projects, as well as other areas with Stability. Gary’s additional structural engineering experience in the telecom and forensic fields has helped him understand designs from various lenses. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Berry College, and Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Bob graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2013. During his time there, he was involved in the steel bridge competition for two years, including one year as captain. Bob joined Stability in 2017 as a structural engineer. His primary role has been in single-family additions and rehabilitations of historic structures, as well as hotels and commercial projects. Prior to his time at Stability, Bob has over 10 years of experience as a carpenter/handyman, and worked as a project engineer in telecom and a structural detailer in a concrete formwork and shoring company.
Jordan graduated in 2017 from the Georgia Institute of Technology with Highest Honors and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. During his time at Tech, he gained international experience studying at Georgia Tech-Lorraine in Metz, France as well as Delft University of Technology in Delft, Netherlands. He also spent two years as a cooperative student working as a structural engineering associate in the telecommunications field where he performed structural analyses on various types of steel telecommunications towers. During his time with Stability Engineering, Jordan has gained experience designing single- and multi-family residential structures and commercial structures as well as renovating existing structures using wood, masonry, concrete, and steel design.
Brad joined the Stability team in early 2019 and serves as a project engineer on a variety of projects including residential, commercial, historic and adaptive re-use. He graduated Cum Laude from Clemson University in 2013 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering Structural Emphasis. Brad is experienced in designing residential gravity and lateral load systems with framing elements including wood, concrete, masonry and steel.
Yipeng graduated with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in December 2018. Prior to joining Stability in 2020, Yipeng’s two years of experience as a structural engineer included a variety of projects including post-tensioned concrete high-rise and structural steel commercial projects. He is also experienced in the Revit family of development software and Dynamo Revit programming. During his time at Stability, Yipeng has gained experience in wood, masonry, and light gauge design. Yipeng understands the importance of teamwork and is always seeking opportunities to provide cost-effective solutions.
Heta joined the Stability team in early 2021, and has a Master’s Degree with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Heta’s experience has helped her gain an insight into the constructability aspect of design. She has worked on various types of buildings including residential, commercial, light industrial, institutional, and telecommunication tower, involving different construction materials such as reinforced concrete, wood, structural steel, cold-formed steel, and masonry.
Thomas joined the Stability team in mid-2021, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Before moving to the US, he was a project manager in the trade show and construction industry in Germany. Thomas’s broad hands-on experience in a variety of craftsmanship from woodwork to welding provides him with an in-depth understanding of constructability. He is proficient in Revit and has extensive knowledge of implementing standards, creating families, and automating tasks using Dynamo and Python. He is always looking for opportunities to leverage new technologies to optimize workflows.
Josh joined the firm in early 2022 to help spearhead Stability’s expansion into the Charlotte area. Josh graduated in 2021 with Honors and Dean’s List accolades from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining Stability, Josh worked as a wood truss designer, where he gained experience in residential, agricultural, and light commercial building design. Joshua will use his strong background in Steel Design and Reinforced Concrete design to provide engineering for numerous projects including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, parks, bridges, art and more. His enthusiasm for structural design makes him an exciting addition to the successful launch of Stability’s growing Charlotte office while collaborating with the established Atlanta office.
Traveon is a North Carolina native from Raleigh who joined Stability full-time in June 2022 after serving as an intern while finishing school. Traveon earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2018 and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering emphasis from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2022. While attending school he was heavily involved in the student chapters of ASCE and Honor Society. Traveon has worked on various projects such as Residential and Commercial, and continues to gain experience in design of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures.
Drew began working with Stability as an intern in March 2022 and joined us full-time in July 2022, to assist in our expansion to the Charlotte area. His area of focus to date has been single- and multi-family projects, and adaptive re-use. Prior to working with Stability, Drew worked as an Assistant Project Manager responsible for the field testing and inspection of various construction materials implemented on site. Drew holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina.
Dejan has provided structural design and inspection services for Stability Engineering on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects since 2013. His experience with installation and onsite monitoring has provided a background for site inspections and field work. Dejan has also helped to develop designs for wood, steel and masonry structures, including AutoCAD and REVIT drafting. Dejan is a graduate of the Technical College in Serbia.
Dragana has worked as a structural designer for Stability since 2007 on a wide variety of project types. Her training and background in architectural design has allowed Stability to expand its design software capabilities. Dragana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from University of Belgrade.
Tim joined Stability Engineering early 2023. In 2014 he finished his tenure at Johnson & Wales University obtaining his AS in Computerized Drafting and BS in Configuration Management & Engineering Studies. Tim’s experience includes over 10 years of 2D and 3D parametric modeling, shop drawing creation, and various facets of construction and design.
Julie Coiron has served as accounting and business manager since the company’s origin in 2004. She has set up the accounting and billing system, secured loans, and handled all areas of human resources and payroll. She has researched, procured and effectively integrated Billquick and Quickbooks software as well as managed development of marketing collateral. Julie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of New Orleans and a MS in Technical and Professional Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University.
Janette has worked with Stability Engineering since 2013 and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Shorter University. Her 20+ years of experience before coming to Stability include working with homeless services and hospice organizations, as well as larger corporate and legal organizations. She has also completed leadership training through the Buckhead Business Association. Her unique blend of experience provides a rare combination of abilities to the web marketing and office management operations, enhancing Stability’s capacity to provide exceptional service to our clients.
Shannon joined the Stability team in early 2020. Her transition from a lengthy career in the wine and hospitality industry has provided her with a keen focus on assisting a diverse team with the goal of ultimate client satisfaction. Shannon lends fresh insight into the workings of a fast-paced, successful engineering firm.
