Stability Engineering has a new office in Charlotte, NC!
We are extremely happy to announce the expansion of Stability Engineering to a second office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Effective September 2021, Pierre Coiron will be working directly with customers bringing the high level of service offered in the Atlanta area to the Charlotte area, working with architects, contractors, and developers on single- and multi-family residential, commercial, and industrial projects, and more.
We are also pleased to announce that Allen Morris will now lead the management of the Atlanta office. While the Atlanta staff misses the day-to-day presence of Pierre and Julie, Allen will provide a seamless transition during our growth.
We’re happy to announce that Daniel Lopez joined Stability Engineering full-time in July 2025 after a successful internship with the firm. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern Indiana and a Master’s in Civil Engineering, with a structural focus, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His work has primarily centered on single- and multi-family residential projects.
We’re pleased to have had Suzanne Palmertree join Stability full time in January 2024 after some time with us as an intern. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in December 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. During her time at KSU, Suzanne was a part of the Steel Bridge Competition Team in 2021-2022 and her team won 2nd place in regionals. Since joining as an intern, she gained experience in designing residential and commercial buildings and continues to grow in wood, steel, and concrete design.
Stability welcomed Taylor Buchanan full time in our Charlotte office in May of 2024 after his time with us as an intern beginning in September 2022. He studied Civil Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in December of 2022 and with his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering May 2024. During Taylor’s time at Stability, he has work predominantly on high-end residential construction and light commercial projects.
We welcomed Charles Beaumont to Stability Engineering as an intern in August 2019 and again as a full time engineer in January 2024. His experience at Stability is concentrated in the design of single-family residential structures, and commercial adaptive reuse projects with a focus on wood, steel, and masonry construction. Charles graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in December 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering but regards himself as a lifelong student of Structural Engineering.
We’re pleased to introduce Blair Shatley, who joined Stability Engineering full time in the Charlotte office in November 2023. Blair graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to working with Stability, Blair worked as a Project Manager for Special Inspections and Construction Material Testing throughout the Charlotte area ranging from deep foundations to post-tensioned elevated slabs.
Stability welcomed Eduardo Salazar as an intern in May 2022, and in August 2023 he joined the firm full time. Eduardo earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in early 2023 and gained experience with the construction process after having worked in the field with brick masons. Eduardo’s experience at Stability includes designing residential projects and existing commercial modifications, and he is eager to expand his knowledge in designing effectively with different materials. Eduardo gained his passion for engineering at an early age with interests in architecture, math, and building things.
We welcomed Tim Lloyd to our firm in early 2023. Tim finished his tenure at Johnson & Wales University In 2014, obtaining his AS in Computerized Drafting and BS in Configuration Management & Engineering Studies. Tim’s experience includes over 10 years of 2D and 3D parametric modeling, shop drawing creation, and various facets of construction and design.
We are excited to have Drew Scott join the firm in July 2022. Drew began working with Stability as an intern in March 2022 to assist in our expansion to the Charlotte area. His area of focus to date has been single- and multi-family projects, and adaptive re-use. Prior to working with Stability, Drew worked as an Assistant Project Manager responsible for the field testing and inspection of various construction materials implemented on site. Drew holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina.
Stability is happy to welcome Gary Cooper, Jr. to our team in May 2022. Gary has extensive experience designing a variety of framing in the cold-formed steel industry. Gary has served as a speaker on cold-formed steel for the Structural Engineering Association of Georgia, and is growing from this field into single- and multi-family projects, as well as other areas with Stability. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Berry College, and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Stability is very pleased to have had Josh Johnson join the firm in March 2022 to help spearhead Stability’s expansion into the Charlotte area. Josh graduated in 2021 with Honors and Dean’s List accolades from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining Stability, Josh worked as a wood truss designer, where he gained experience in residential, agricultural, and light commercial building design. Joshua will use his strong background in Steel Design and Reinforced Concrete design to provide engineering for numerous projects including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, parks, bridges, art and more. His enthusiasm for structural design makes him an exciting addition to the successful launch of Stability’s growing Charlotte office while collaborating with the established Atlanta office.
We are very happy to have Thomas Teichmann on the Stability team since July 2021. Thomas has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Before moving to the US, he was a project manager in the trade show and construction industry in Germany. Thomas’s broad hands-on experience in a variety of craftmanship from woodwork to welding provides him with an in-depth understanding of constructability. He is proficient in Revit and has extensive knowledge of implementing standards, creating families, and automating tasks using Dynamo and Python. He is always looking for opportunities to leverage new technologies to optimize workflows.
We are excited to announce that Chris Murphy and James Breeden have been promoted to Associate Principals of Stability Engineering. Chris Murphy has been with the company for over 13 years and James over 8 years. Chris and James have taken on increasing responsibilities and bring a variety of strengths to our firm. They have shown themselves to be exceptional engineers and project managers and we are pleased to have them as part of our leadership team. [January 2021]

Stability Engineering welcomes Jacob Jeffcoat to the team. Jacob graduated from Kennesaw State University in December 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Before his start with Stability, he completed an internship in the construction/project management field. In addition to working for the company during his senior year, Jacob was an active member of the school’s ACI and ASCE chapters. Stability Engineering has acquired a concrete core drill, expanding our inventory of equipment and allowing us to better serve our clients by offering a wider range of investigation services. This water cooled drill allows us to penetrate 14-inch maximum thick concrete, extract concrete samples, measure reinforcement, and measure soil properties. [July 2015] |
