About the Project

Stability Engineering worked with the architect and general contractor on this commercial building renovation project.  The masonry and steel-framed building was originally a bank and had been previously converted to a medical office but was being renovated with a face-lift and separated into commercial/retail tenant spaces.  Structural features included extensive wall openings added to provide more storefronts, as well as custom architectural soffit and awning features.  The project also involved removing the old bank vault and the bank’s covered drive through lanes. Project challenges included working alongside the general contractor to work around revealed existing conditions complications with the perimeter masonry walls, as well as an underground vault discovered within the building.
